One of the busiest streets in Trenčín will turn into a pedestrian zone full of music, flavours, and creativity. Korzo Soblahovská, taking place on May 24, is a new continuation of the city market tradition and proof that even a road can become a destination.
Soblahovská Street, usually pulsing with traffic, will change its rhythm for one day. Instead of cars, it will be filled with stalls, stages, children’s laughter, the smell of fresh bread, and conversations between neighbours. Korzo Soblahovská invites you on Saturday, May 24, from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM, to experience the city differently – slower, more colourful, and together.
An open-air festival
The event follows the successful Korzo Palackého and the long-standing tradition of the city market Trenčín na korze. This time, the focus is on Soblahovská, which will show its potential to be more than just a traffic artery – a place for meetings, joy, and creativity.
“Come listen to music and enjoy open-air theatre on three stages, support local producers or join interesting discussions and workshops,” invites Stano Krajči, director of Trenčín 2026.
A programme for all the senses
Music, markets, workshops, tastes, and scents. More than 80 sellers, craftsmen and designers will fill the street with creativity. Children and adults will have fun in the game yard, enjoy creative zones, and relax in chillout areas.
Also worth a visit is the “mmm… Trenčín” stall, where the scent of herbs meets the taste of sourdough bread.

On the second floor of the double-decker bus, you can also enjoy a view of the whole event with a good cup of coffee in hand.
A city reimagined by people
The event is part of the programme project City Reimagined and shows how public space can belong to people.
Hana Laššová, project manager of Trenčín 2026, says:
“Soblahovská has the potential to become a lively centre of social life. Korzo is a way to try that for a day.”
The goal is not only fun, but also inspiration. Just like Korzo Palackého, this time we also want to spark reflection: What could a city look like where life is better, slower, and greener?
