DOBROstretko – where good ideas and good people meet
DOBROstretko is an event that brings together volunteers and anyone who cares about their community and the city they live in. It creates a space for sharing experiences, planning together, and exploring how each of us can contribute to life in Trenčín.
This gathering of volunteers within the Trenčín 2026 programme brings inspiration, new ways to get involved, and a space for open discussion about how people are breathing life into public spaces.

We’ll start by presenting the different ways volunteers are supported within the Trenčín 2026 programme – from language courses and coordination skills to help with realizing their own ideas. We’ll also introduce community-building activities and touch on opportunities to travel beyond Trenčín for international inspiration.

A relaxed space to chat, share experiences and get to know each other – with something tasty on the side.
🟡 Discussion: Places Brought to Life by People

Volunteering takes many forms – and increasingly it transforms public spaces into vibrant, welcoming places for connection. This discussion focuses on how people’s engagement shapes a lively and inclusive city. We’ll highlight inspiring examples of community projects, neighbourhood initiatives, and civic action that are transforming streets, squares, and housing estates.

An open floor for discussion, feedback, and new ideas to help shape future volunteer efforts in Trenčín.
Who’s joining the discussion?
🔹 Jakub Gulík – stand-up comedian and volunteer programme ambassador for Trenčín 2026. He took part in the Korzo Soblahovská project, where an entire street was turned into a lively community hub for a day.
🔹 Representative from Živé susedstvá – a grassroots initiative supporting active citizens in their neighbourhoods and showing how small actions can lead to big change.
🔹 Representative from Mesto pretvorené – member of the Trenčín 2026 team, focusing on shaping people-friendly public spaces.

Who will guide the event?
👥 Stanislava Minárik Imrišková – Project Coordinator with the Trenčín 2026 team, focusing on volunteer engagement.
👥 Martin Daško – Chair of the Youth Council in Prievidza and assistant at the Regional Youth Centre Trenčín.
