Echoes Expanded is a performative event that transforms the subtle dialogue of the Remote Echoes installation into an immersive audiovisual experience. Remote live-coding artists take control of the system in real time, using algorithmic music to bring both pavilions to life through light and sound. The quiet shared pulse expands into a vivid and expressive event, amplifying themes of presence, communication, and connection across distance.
When: 3–4 September 2026 (3–4 hours in the evening)
Where: Unio Tectum and Unio Stibadum pavilions in the Alúvium of the Orechovský stream
The project Public Escapades, created by the WOVEN studio, includes four pavilions developed in pairs across two revitalised areas – Alúvium and Trenčiansky Luh. The pavilions are conceived as jewels of these public spaces. They loosely approach the function of urban furniture, though this function is neither clearly defined nor limited. Emphasis is placed on the contrast between the natural and the manipulated, with the material—highly polished stainless steel—conceptually chosen as a result of this contrast. The design language of the pavilions is inspired by the organic form of the freshwater mussel found in this environment (Unio crassus).
