We invite you to the first edition of the sound event series úúú curated by Združenie ooo as part of Trenčín 2026.
úúú is a space for cultivating (not only) sonic sensitivity in the time of the sixth mass extinction of species. It will present sound performances, interventions, installations, workshops, lectures, and discussions that invite you to listen to the Loud New World. It encourages quieting down and loving sonic nuances and seeking new ways out of today’s crises. We’re interested in everything from the roar of a highway overpass, the digging of a mole in the ground, echoes of abandoned factory halls, to the wind hitting the castle rock in Trenčín.
The event will take place on Saturday, June 7, 2025, from 15:00 to 22:00. Free entry, subject to registration. Venue capacity is limited.
The event takes place partially under the open sky.
SOUNDCAMP COOPERATIVE (LISTENING SESSION AND WORKSHOP)
Soundcamp is an international artistic collective based in London, Glasgow, Berlin, Lisbon, and Crete. Its members work on projects in the field of transmission ecologies. Their interests range from DIY broadcasting devices to public sound and radio projects. As part of the Acoustic Commons network, they coordinate the long-term radio broadcast REVEIL (since 2014) on the occasion of the annual Dawn Chorus Day, which took place this year on May 3 and 4, featuring sound art from around the world. Soundcamp Cooperative is interested in the possibilities of live sound transmission between places and situations, drawing attention to lesser-heard human and non-human communities.
At the first úúú event, they will present a Soundcamp listening session of one of their collaborative radio events and lead a half-day workshop for the public focused on creating DIY transmitters for ecological internet radio useable for artistic, scientific, and activist purposes. More info:
CSILLA NAGY AND SLÁVO KREKOVIČ (SK): SYMBIONTS (SOUND INSTALLATION)
Symbionts are a speculative reflection on the future of life on our planet. Their forms are inspired by the study of marine sponges of the Porifera species, which represent a very ancient evolutionary dead end. The work explores mutual relationships between humans, the environment, nature, and technology through the creation of hybrid environments. The installation consists of data-linked and mutually communicating ceramic objects that are both interactive and sonic, sensing the surrounding environment. Based on data such as ambient temperature, air pressure, CO2 content, and UV radiation, the Symbionts algorithmically transform sounds from a shared and freely accessible web database – a kind of collective memory containing both natural and civilizational recordings.
Sculptor Csilla Nagy. Through exploring craft techniques and materials, she addresses layers and fragments of memory in her works – whether individual, family, or collective. She works with both ancient and contemporary ceramic techniques, seeking to bridge ceramics and visual art.
Slávo Krekovič is a musician, sound artist, musicologist, and dramaturge, graduate of sonology at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague. He is the artistic director and co-founder of A4 – Space for Contemporary Culture and the NEXT music festival. His work focuses on generative processes, human-machine interaction, and improvisation in various contexts using hardware and custom software.

Združenie ooo (SK)
Združenie ooo was established in spring 2020 out of the need to create a dedicated space for exploring the world through sound art, contemporary music, and intermedia art. Founding members are musician, educator, and intermedia artist Fero Király and dramaturge, cultural manager, and performer Eva Vozárová. The association’s artistic and curatorial interest focuses on projects that delve into complex relationships between human and non-human beings, including areas of acoustic ecology, deep listening, environmental and social topics, and disciplines like anthropology, philosophy, mathematics, and other fields of knowledge. The association prefers considerate artistic interventions. // www.zdruzenie.ooo
