Programme Manager for Visual Arts

We are looking for a Programme Manager for Visual Arts to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to work in an international environment on a once-in-a-lifetime European project. You’ll collaborate with artists of European and global renown.

 
What to expect when working for Trenčín 2026:
  • Project management and implementation of visual arts projects according to the Trenčín 2026 Bid Book

  • Formulation of strategic short- and long-term international projects aligned with the goals of Trenčín 2026

  • Coordination and communication with project teams including internal and external collaborators, key stakeholders, partners, and project consortia (local, regional, national, and international)

  • Communication with project curators, artists, executors, institutions, and other involved partners

  • Management of ongoing projects including timeline creation, budgeting, implementation planning, and collaboration with the communications team, production, and contract preparation

  • Work in the e-grant system, creation and coordination of project plans

  • Maintaining project documentation in compliance with internal regulations and grant/lead partner contract requirements

  • Risk anticipation and management within assigned projects

  • Writing national and international funding applications or supporting documents

  • Close collaboration with the programme department and the wider Trenčín 2026 team

  • Collaboration and communication with the City of Trenčín and Trenčín Self-Governing Region

  • Participation in regular team meetings (small and full team)

  • Attendance at events, business trips, and training as needed

 
Requirements:
  • Master’s degree (2nd level university education)

  • Proven experience in project management, ideally in the cultural or creative industries

  • Education or experience in visual and interdisciplinary arts is an advantage

  • Demonstrable experience in creating and managing project budgets

  • Demonstrable success in writing grant applications

  • Several years of experience in cultural institutions is an advantage

  • Systematic, detail-oriented, proactive approach to all tasks

  • High level of independence

  • Excellent time management and organisational skills

  • Ability to organise work and perform under time pressure

  • Ability to research new funding opportunities and align them with the programme and overall goals of Trenčín 2026

  • Excellent writing skills in both Slovak and English

  • Fluent communication in English

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Willingness to perform daily work in Trenčín

  • Willingness to work weekends during events

Salary:
  • €1700 gross/month

  • Full-time position

 
Start date:

Immediately or by July 15, 2025 at the latest
