Primary schools in Trenčín will be able to join the award-winning Creative Partnerships program, led by the organization T-Tudok from Hungary. The goal is to bring more art, creativity, and creative learning into classrooms and curricula. The Creative Partnerships program is based on the concept of a “high-functioning classroom”. It is a pedagogical approach to teaching, derived from various artistic practices, and will be implemented in close collaboration with artists who are specifically prepared to work with teachers and students.
When working with students in classrooms, the artist remains an artist and the teacher remains a teacher. The program does not provide arts education. The artist and the teacher work together to find ways to transform the existing curriculum of a particular subject into more interactive and creative teaching methods that support active student engagement and critical thinking. The program positively influences the self-confidence of socially disadvantaged children and at the same time teaches students collaboration, authenticity, and gives them the opportunity to be imaginative, inventive, and curious.
