The second event in the series of sound and concert happenings úúú and pssst, curated by the association ooo within the Trenčín 2026 programme, delivered an intense one-day programme consisting of concerts, sound performances, a deep listening session, discussions and a workshop across four floors of the former Baťa factory in Partizánske.
The aim of the event was to present contemporary sound art and music outside Trenčín as the main centre of the ECoC, while also drawing the attention of the public from the Trenčín Region and other parts of Slovakia to the emerging cultural centre Fabrika 61 in Partizánske. The event’s programme and its placement inside the factory attracted visitors from the usual circle of the association ooo—mainly from Bratislava and other cities—while a shoe bazaar organised in cooperation with Fabrika 61 and a popular food truck brought in large numbers of local visitors as well.
The Fabrika 61 building was successfully brought to life for an entire day—an outcome appreciated not only by the artists and visitors but also by the Fabrika 61 team, which we consider extremely important and a clear sign that the event’s objectives were fulfilled.
Part of the concert section of the event was also a performance by Marek Kundlák and students of the private art school ZUŠ Ateliér in Veľké Bielice, who have been preparing together for several months for the pupils’ performance within the project Tuning the City on 22 May 2026. At Fabrika, they had the opportunity to undergo one of their public “dress rehearsals” and to try performing in public—an opportunity we strive to provide to well-prepared groups.
