We are now looking for a Manager of Multi-Genre Events to join our programming team. Is this your field? Come join us!

What awaits you in the Trenčín 2026 team

  • Comprehensive preparation and implementation of multi-genre events across the full spectrum of cultural activities, from intimate intermedia events to larger international projects connecting different genres and artistic approaches (especially literature, music, and performance).

  • Independent and proactive handling of all tasks and challenges within the assigned multi-genre and intermedia events agenda.

  • Implementation of the set program of the Trenčín 2026 project and its bidbook (https://www.trencin2026.eu/bidbook), including efficient settlement of events.

  • Active collaboration with partner organizations and artists in securing events; close cooperation with the Trenčín 2026 production team.

  • Execution of other managerial tasks within the entrusted program area of Trenčín 2026.

Salary

€1600 gross per month (during probation period), €1700 gross per month after probation period.

Full-time position.

Start date

Immediately.

Requirements for candidates

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Master’s degree.

  • Doctoral degree.

Language skills

  • English – Intermediate (B1).

Personal prerequisites and skills

  • Experience in organizing cultural and other public events

  • Experience in project management and project coordination

  • Ability to work independently, manage the agenda of multi-genre events, and respond to emerging tasks and challenges

  • Good understanding of the current cultural environment, along with initiative and curiosity

  • University degree in humanities, arts, cultural management, or economics

  • User-level computer skills – MS Office, Excel, and familiarity with social media platforms

  • English at a level sufficient to communicate and consult with other cities in the European Capitals of Culture network (though it will not be your primary working language)

  • Ability to organize work and set priorities – for yourself as well as for other team members
