Being part of the European Capital of Culture project is an exceptional opportunity. Trenčín is only the second city in Slovakia to receive this title, and 2026 brings dozens of events, projects, and activities across the city and the region. As the programme implementation is in full swing and the most intensive period is just ahead, we are looking for a short-term addition to our team.
What awaits you in the Trenčín 2026 team
- In cooperation with the marketing team, you will oversee communication for programme activities from campaign concept development through to execution.
- You will be responsible for communication aimed at specific target groups, such as communities and ambassadors.
- You will tailor each campaign (both offline and online) to the needs and objectives of a particular programme and independently lead its execution.
- You will coordinate with partners who will not only implement but also communicate selected programme activities.
- You will be able to launch, maintain, coordinate, and successfully complete programme and marketing projects.
- You will set objectives, evaluate campaign effectiveness, and propose improvements.
- You will manage the budget.
- You will work closely with the marketing team, where you will find specialists in their respective fields (social media and web specialist, PR manager, creative specialist, brand manager, etc.). Your supervisor will always be available to provide guidance, discuss your ideas, and support your work when needed.
- The Bid Book (the strategic plan that guides us) will become your trusted companion, as programme activities and their significance will become your area of expertise, enabling you to present them meaningfully to the public.
What we expect from you
- At least 2 years of professional experience in marketing, media, or in an advertising or media agency.
- A positive attitude that helps you find ways to make things happen.
- The ability to work independently and respond to emerging tasks and challenges.
- You can handle both the creative and strategic aspects of the role, while also being comfortable with execution and administration.
- Public administration and procurement processes are not obstacles for you but opportunities to deliver quality work.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise your own work as well as that of others.
- Initiative, strong communication skills, and the ability to meet deadlines are second nature to you.
What we offer
- A place in the marketing team: a friendly atmosphere, a human approach, mutual support, and collaboration are a given.
- Trust in your abilities: room for your opinions and self-realisation.
- Opportunities for growth: each of us grows alongside this project as we tackle new challenges and tasks.
- A chance to make a difference: contributing to the European Capital of Culture project is not only professionally rewarding but also an opportunity to do something meaningful and beautiful for all of us who live here.
- Occasional remote work or work-from-home opportunities.
- An office in the centre of Trenčín.
- The opportunity to become part of the European Capital of Culture project and contribute to our values:
- We awaken curiosity.
- We bring a fresh breeze.
- We connect Trenčín with Europe.
- We create for everyone.
- We act responsibly.
