An Airy Show for Children from 2 Years Old
Trenčín 2026 brings more theatre to the city – and we’re starting with a performance that’s as light as air, yet rich in experience. Children Theatre Aero is a playful theatre adventure for the youngest children, their parents, and everyone who still loves to fly in their imagination. Wordless, never boring, with the wind in your hair.
Children Theatre Aero is a theatre-object poetry piece about flying, movement, and discovery. The actors take on the role of scientists exploring air – its sounds, rhythms, and its ability to set things in motion. Set design, music, and lighting create a magical space where reality meets play. The performance is without words and is perfectly understandable even for the smallest children.
Who is the performance for?
-
For children from 2 years old
-
For the whole family
-
For everyone seeking a different kind of theatre experience
Visitors will discover that children’s theatre doesn’t have to be only about fairy tales. It can be gentle, poetic, playful – and still deeply moving. Parents will leave inspired, and children full of pure joy.
Why are we doing this?
The Children Theatre Aero performance is part of the project Trenčín Lives with Theatre, which opens new paths for theatre in Trenčín. We want to bring high-quality, professional theatre formats to even the youngest audiences and support the perception of theatre as a space of curiosity, discovery, and joy.
About the creators
Behind the performance is the internationally awarded collective Odivo, with over 100 festival appearances around the world – from Slovenia and Indonesia to North Macedonia. Their work blends puppetry, performance, movement, and object theatre.
