Volunteering in Motion
We warmly invite you to the final DOBROstretko of 2025, a gathering that will wrap up this year’s volunteer activities and prepare us for the exceptional year ahead – 2026, when Trenčín becomes the European Capital of Culture.
DOBROstretko is a community event for everyone who is part of the Trenčín 2026 volunteer programme, as well as those who wish to join and contribute to shaping the city’s cultural life.
The aim of the event is to share experiences, inspire each other, strengthen our community, and get ready for the year that will put Trenčín in the European spotlight.

What to expect?
- A look back at what we’ve achieved in volunteering during 2025
- A preview of upcoming activities, training, and international opportunities for 2026
- Reflections on how the International Year of Volunteers connects with Trenčín 2026
- A presentation by the chief dramaturge of Trenčín 2026, who will introduce the programme book and highlight events
- A discussion on how the city is preparing for the Opening of ECoC and how volunteers can be actively involved
- Insights from international guests from Oulu 2026 (Finland), Chemnitz 2025 (Germany), and Bodø (Norway) who will share their experiences with preparing their own ECoC years
There will also be space for informal conversations, networking, feedback, and of course, refreshments.

Who will guide the event?
- Stanislava Minárik Imrišková – Head of the Trenčín 2026 Volunteer Programme
- Martin Daško – Volunteer and non-formal education trainer
Guests:
Patrik Žák is the Second Deputy Mayor of Trenčín. He has served on the city council for 15 years and as Deputy Mayor for 8. Before entering public service, he worked in the IT corporate sector. He was part of the core team that prepared Trenčín’s ECoC bid. His focus areas include participation, soft projects, marketing, and communication.
Anette Eksymä is the Volunteer Coordinator for Oulu2026 and leads the entire volunteer programme. She holds a degree in Intercultural Teacher Education and has professional experience across all three sectors – from Utsjoki to Tokyo. In her free time, she enjoys walks in the forest with her family.
Anton Schneider is part of the coordination team for the Chemnitz2025 volunteer programme, primarily responsible for international volunteering. He joined the team in October 2024, is 31 years old, and holds a bachelor’s degree in European Studies.
Nicole Natalie V. Furnes led the volunteer initiative for Bodø2024 from 2022 to 2024, during which she developed new methods and networks to engage more people in culture through volunteering. These continue to grow within Volunteer Bodø, the umbrella organisation for volunteering in the city, supported and funded by local, regional, and national authorities. Nicole currently serves as its CEO.
