Is the city a concrete jungle we have built for our lives? Should we think of it as a soft, ever-changing, aging, yet constantly emerging environment? We share this space with numerous organisms and plants, co-creating our surroundings together. What challenges will the future bring? How can our actions support complex natural processes and improve the environment we live in?
The project Sensitivity of the City explores the intersections between the city, architecture, and public spaces with ecology, habitats, and the environment we inhabit. The exhibition Urban Ecologies maps and presents contemporary projects at the crossroads of art, architecture, and design, focusing on new materials, approaches, and interventions in public spaces.
