Just Dance II

The first time, we simply danced together in Trenčianske Teplice. Spa guests, local residents, and visitors to the region came together – some with dance experience, others with none at all. What connected them was movement, music, and the desire to try something new.

Now we continue in Trenčín.

About the Dance Course

Just Dance II is an invitation to join a dance course with dance teacher, choreographer, and former professional dancer Michal Šandor. You don’t need to know any dance steps or have any previous experience. Just come along and allow yourself to move – without pressure to perform and without any expectations of what dance should look like. The course will run for 3 hours each day, including breaks.

Movement doesn’t require a common language or perfect technique. Dance can release tension, bring energy, and help us focus for a while simply on ourselves and the people around us. And when we move together, something emerges that cannot be created alone – a shared rhythm, mutual awareness, and a sense of belonging.

This simple idea also gave rise to the Tanzende Nachbarn (Dancing Neighbours) project, founded by Michal Šandor as part of Chemnitz 2025 – European Capital of Culture. Since 2023, the project has used dance to connect primarily people aged 50+ from different social and cultural backgrounds. Here, dance is neither a goal nor a performance. It is a way to meet, get moving, and spend time together.

Come and dance with us. Not to learn how to dance perfectly. Simply because moving feels good.

Seniors are especially welcome.
