Dear seniors,
we invite you to spend pleasant moments together through reading in the Let’s Read Together programme.
Come and relax, listen to interesting stories, reminisce, and spend time in good company. Volunteers will read books to you, and together we will create a calm and friendly atmosphere full of conversations and sharing.
The readings are led by volunteers as part of the European Capital of Culture Trenčín 2026 programme, who create a welcoming and open atmosphere for everyone.
On June 29, we will read an excerpt from Neil Gaiman’s The Ocean at the End of the Lane.
A nostalgic story about childhood, friendship, and the courage to face the darkness that sometimes hides within everyday life — where even a small pond may conceal an entire ocean full of secrets.
The volunteer programme is organised in cooperation with the Slovak League Against Rheumatism – Trenčín City Branch.
