Charles Dickens – a world-famous writer and the king of English storytellers. He is the author of renowned works such as A Christmas Carol, Oliver Twist and David Copperfield, which stand out for their powerful stories and distinctive humour.
The excerpt from Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol introduces the miserly Scrooge, who hates Christmas and lives alone in a cold house. Everything changes after a visit from the ghost of his former partner Marley – a night begins that will change his life forever.
This time, we will read prose and share many interesting facts from Dickens’ childhood and adult life.
