Thanks to the Living Neighbourhoods project, our street in Sihoť is coming to life. This time, we will gather around a shared community table with morning coffee in hand and a view of blooming cherry trees. The exact date will be confirmed soon—as soon as we see the trees begin to blossom.
🌸 You are invited to an informal community gathering where, for a few hours, we will replace cars on the street with a safe space for people. Come enjoy the fresh spring air, relax, take part in activities, and meet those you usually just pass by in a hurry—your neighbours.
PROGRAMME:
9:00 – 15:00 – Shared breakfast at the community table: let’s sit together at one long neighbourhood table. Bring your favourite breakfast, homemade spreads, cake, or fruit and share with others. Morning coffee and hot tea will be provided, and you can also refresh yourself with homemade kombucha.
10:00 – 15:00 – Neighbourhood clothing SWAP: freshen up your spring wardrobe! Bring items you no longer wear and perhaps take home a new favourite piece. Clothing racks and hangers will be available.
10:00 – 11:00 – Homemade kombucha tasting with a talk
11:00 – 11:30 – Workshop with Miyu Hosoi: Miyu Hosoi is a Japanese sound artist who captures memories and explores the possibilities of sound through her projects. She will share her approach to sound in this workshop.
13:00 – 14:00 – HANAMI workshop: create your own artwork of a blooming cherry tree using ink and colours.
Throughout the event – Neighbourhood ping pong and other activities: a ping pong table will be available, so grab a paddle and challenge your neighbours to a friendly match! Additional games and activities for all ages will also be prepared.
Who is the event for?
For all residents of the Sihoť neighbourhood and nearby areas. Come with children, friends, your dog, or on your own—there will be a place for everyone at our long table.
Admission is free.
