The international formation KoMaRa – led by legendary drummer Pat Mastelotto (King Crimson) – is coming to Trenčín, bringing with it an evening full of music, personal stories, workshops, and discussions.
The event Music for Export will show how musicians from the region can break through to European stages, how international connections are made, and what the Trenčín 2026 platform can offer to support that journey.
Music has the power to connect. It builds bridges between people, cities, and countries. Music for Export at KKC Hviezda is meant for everyone who believes that it is possible to make it from Trenčín to European stages – if we know how.
In addition to the concert by the international band KoMaRa, featuring American drummer Pat Mastelotto, you can also look forward to his workshop and a public discussion. Together with musicians and partners of Trenčín 2026 – European Capital of Culture, we will look at how music export can work in practice – through grants, exchanges, festival networks, or partnerships between cities like Trenčín, Nova Gorica, and Bourges.
The event also serves as a taste of what’s to come in 2026, when Trenčín will hold the title of European Capital of Culture.
