The exhibition not/SEEING IT IN PINK follows her three-year research project Year of the Snake, presenting a series of abstract paintings in which Fabová currently develops motifs of organic forms, the symbolism of snakes and jellyfish that constantly change, merge, and reform. Her paintings evoke movement forward – an endless flow of energy that draws the viewer into a visual play between order and chaos. Through layering and animating shapes, the artist creates tension between reality and fantasy, between conscious and subconscious imagery. Abstract planes and lines transform into symbols of life, transformation, and elusive beauty.

The title of the exhibition not/SEEING IT IN PINK balances on the edge between optimism and negation. It represents a wordplay in which optimism is simultaneously denied and affirmed, and within the context of the exhibition takes on a visual form of subdued, monochromatic color tones. Her paintings appear as visual currents – rhythmic, organic, and constantly changing. The viewer becomes part of this movement and gradually uncovers layers of meaning not visible at first glance.
Exhibition Opening
The opening will take place on November 21 at 5:00 PM at the Nová Vlna Gallery. The vernissage offers an opportunity to personally meet the artist and discuss the works and themes that inspire her.

About the artist:
Painter and visual artist Lucia Fabová was born in Trenčín (1985).
She studied at the Academy of Arts in Banská Bystrica, the Accademia di Belle Arti Lecce (Italy), and the Universitat de València (Spain – study and work internship).
Her long-term artistic focus lies in abstract painting and the exploration of the human being as living, fluid matter and the ever-changing relationships between color, movement, and form.
