Ethérea is a young band from Bulgaria. Their music can best be described as psychedelic folk, blending elements of rock, jazz, and electronic music. Their work is rooted in lesser-known Bulgarian folk songs, which they reinterpret through their own distinctive musical language. Alongside electric guitar, bass, and drums, audiences are captivated by the singer’s ethereal voice and traditional Bulgarian vocal technique. Despite their strong folk roots and subtle retro influences, their sound feels fresh and contemporary.
The band’s live performances are equally compelling visually, featuring performative elements that gradually transform the concert into a unique ritual.
