Job description, responsibilities and duties

We are currently looking for a Project Manager for the field of art and culture to join our programme team.

What awaits you on the Trenčín 2026 team

  • Comprehensive preparation and implementation of events across the full range of cultural activities – from intimate intermedia events to larger international projects combining different genres and artistic approaches (especially music and performance).

  • Independent and proactive management of all tasks and challenges within the assigned event and intermedia agenda.

  • Implementation of the established programme of the Trenčín 2026 project and its Bid Book (https://www.trencin2026.eu/bidbook), including efficient financial reporting for events.

  • Active cooperation with partner organizations and artists in event management; close collaboration with the Trenčín 2026 production team.

Salary

  • €1,600 gross/month during the probation period

  • €1,700 gross/month after the probation period

  • Full-time position

Start date

  • Immediately

Requirements for the candidate

Education:

  • University education (Bachelor’s degree)

  • University education (Master’s degree)

  • University education (PhD)

Language skills:

  • English – Intermediate (B1)

 

Personality requirements and skills

  • Experience in project planning and management

  • Experience communicating with and booking artists

  • Good understanding of the cultural environment

  • Ability to work independently and respond to emerging tasks and challenges

  • Basic computer skills (MS Office, Excel) and familiarity with social media environments

  • English proficiency sufficient for consultations with other cities in the European Capitals of Culture network (though English will not be your main working language)

  • Good organizational and prioritization skills, proactive and thorough approach
