In mid-September, Trenčín will transform into a city unafraid to be curious and ask questions. Who are our neighbors? What kind of music grows out of garages? How do traditions taste? And what secrets does the castle hold when we look at it with different eyes?
The Festival of Curiosity is a dress rehearsal for 2026, when Trenčín will fully present itself as the European Capital of Culture. Over the course of several days, it will connect different parts of the city, stories, and generations. We invite you to rediscover Trenčín!

What does the future of Slovak music sound like? A three-day showcase festival of young bands in M. R. Štefánik Park, organized in cooperation with the Pohoda Festival, will bring concerts, workshops, and meetings between music professionals and emerging talents.
Week of Lively Neighborhoods
What happens when we get to know our neighbors? Neighborhood breakfasts on Švermova Street, a barbecue in Dlhé Hony, the folkloric flavors of Záblatie, and a cake picnic in Juh – a whole week that will bring city districts to life and strengthen local connections.
Propane Punk Show
How many forms can the circus take? The grand fire performance Propane Punk Show will transform Peace Square into a nighttime stage filled with acrobatics, visual art, and adrenaline.
85th Anniversary of Hviezda
What has Hviezda witnessed over the past 85 years? We’ll enjoy open studios, exhibitions, and concerts, celebrating this iconic building that has become the heart of the city’s cultural life.
