Europe to the Communities

The grant programme is open to individuals, informal community groups, and independent organisations working in the fields of community development, civil society, culture, and the creative industries.

The aim of the programme is to support community initiatives and spaces that foster active neighbourhoods, strengthen civil society, encourage cultural and creative development, and promote inclusion in culture—creating Living Places.

Programme Priorities

  • Community projects and civic participation
  • Public and community spaces
  • Inclusion and intergenerational dialogue

The programme supports projects that:

  • strengthen neighbourly relationships, local community identity, and social cohesion;
  • revitalise public spaces in residential neighbourhoods, enrich everyday life, and deepen residents’ connection to the places where they live;
  • create opportunities for communities to express themselves through a wide range of cultural and artistic activities in their local environment;
  • encourage collaboration between local residents, institutions, cultural organisations, and artists;
  • promote inclusion and accessibility in culture.
