Trenčín 2026, in collaboration with the Institute of Circular Economy (INCIEN), has prepared the Green Cultural Production Manual. The document provides concrete tips for cultural organizers in our region on how to create cultural events. We invite you to its presentation on September 11 at KKC Hviezda.
As part of the European Capital of Culture, we have committed not only to bringing culture that highlights natural heritage but also to organizing cultural events with respect for nature. The Green Cultural Production Manual will help us in this effort, serving as both an inspiration and a tool for all cultural organizers in the region. Through it, we aim to open a discussion on how to organize cultural events in a more sustainable way.
What is included in the Manual?
The document is designed to guide you through all phases of cultural production – from preparation, through execution, to project completion. It covers key areas of cultural production, such as technical production, waste management, catering, accommodation, location selection, transport, decoration, communication, and the creation of artworks.
Each section provides general recommendations for every area, as well as specific tips tailored to Trenčín and the Trenčín region. The manual also includes examples of organizations already holding their events in a sustainable way, serving as an inspiration for others.
A collective step towards a more sustainable culture
The Green Cultural Production Manual will be presented by experts from INCIEN, Ivana Maleš and Veronika Hagovská, on September 11, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at KKC Hviezda during a meeting of the cultural community of the Trenčín region. Admission is free, but capacity is limited. Please register at www.trencin2026.eu/stretnutia.
We warmly invite you!
