UAFA Cup is an international anti-racist and anti-fascist football event that brings an unconventional sports programme with international guests. It unites a shared love for football, freedom, and fair play.
The event also commemorates the city’s anti-fascist history and the significance of the uprising in which our sister city and current partner, Kragujevac (Serbia), played an important role. At the same time, UAFA Cup reflects the current need to promote democratic values to a young and perceptive audience.
In cooperation with clubs, UAFA Cup will organize friendly matches as well as an accompanying evening programme. The event connects regional leagues with international players and football enthusiasts, creating a space for sport, solidarity, and shared values.
When? Saturday, June 20, 8:00–17:00

During the tournament, refreshment stands will be available, offering visitors a selection of food and drinks, as well as souvenir stalls featuring not only football-themed merchandise. Visitors will also be able to enjoy table tennis, target shooting, and a children’s corner for the youngest guests, including a bouncy castle and face painting.
The football tournament will culminate in the women’s and men’s finals, followed by the announcement of the winners and the presentation of trophies. As part of the closing ceremony, the FAIR PLAY award will also be presented. The tournament is scheduled to conclude in the late afternoon, marking the end of the sporting programme. Participants will then be able to move to the city centre, where the traditional afterparty will take place from 8:00 PM at Klub Lúč.
About the UAFA Cup:
The UAFA Cup small-sided football tournament has a history spanning more than a decade. It is a charitable event with a rich accompanying programme, popular among open-minded people who reject racism, fascism, xenophobia, homophobia, and sexism — not only in sports arenas, but also in everyday life.
The first editions took place at the now non-existent Ozeta Stadium in the Zámostie district. Later, the event moved to Sihoť Stadium, and this year it will be held for the second time at the TiMS Academy grounds on Ostrov. Over time, the event has evolved into an international gathering attended not only by local participants, but also by guests from across Europe.
In addition to bringing together like-minded people, the main purpose of the event is charitable, as the funds raised are donated after the tournament as a gesture of solidarity to organisations with social impact and to individuals most in need — including people with physical or mental disabilities, abused women, and people affected by war.
