Train to Glass is a one-day journey on a historic train, organised as part of the SKLO-HMOTA project. It is more than just getting from point A to point B. Travelling on a vintage train along a regional railway line is an experience in itself, connecting the glassmaking tradition of Lednické Rovne with the region’s railway heritage.
In Lednické Rovne, the Michal Fair awaits you, together with a programme dedicated to glass, which has been produced here for more than a hundred years.

Route: Trenčín – Nemšová – Lednické Rovne and back (the train also stops at stations along the route)

Fares
Train tickets are one-way and can be purchased directly on the train. Advance purchase is not available. Tickets are sold by Považské dráhy.

Michalské Hody Festival
8:00 – 12:00 – Open Day at RONA, with the opportunity to purchase glass products
10:00 – Official opening of the exhibition – the culmination of the Glass Symposium at RONA Gallery, attended by artists and curators, with musical accompaniment by ZUŠ Karolínka
– Opening of the craft market (Námestie slobody)
10:15 – Performance by local kindergarten children (main square)
11:00 – Bojko and Zmrzlinka – children’s performance, disco and photo opportunity (main square)
13:00 – Peter Šesták – magic show for children (main square)
13:45 – Laying of wreaths at the memorial plaque dedicated to local citizens who died in World War I and World War II (Cultural Centre + main square)
