The successful Garáž festival, which we organize together with the Pohoda festival, will return to Trenčín for the fifth time. This year it comes back to M. R. Štefánik Park, where it will offer 15 concerts by the emerging generation of bands from Slovakia and abroad. The successful bands were selected from among 197 applicants by a professional jury.
In addition to concerts, the event will feature host Otec Mirec and a rich accompanying program for all age groups. You will also have the chance to win tickets to Slovak festivals.
Garáž is part of the Curiosity Festival.

As part of the 85th anniversary of the Cultural and Creative Center Hviezda in Trenčín, we have prepared a joint program – a concert by Fvck_Kvlt and Dušan Vlk. Festival Garage participants will get a discounted ticket for 7 euros. Ask our volunteers at the Trenčín 2026 booth for a voucher. You can then buy your ticket directly at KKC Hviezda before the concert. More information is available on the KKC Hviezda website. Concert is an activity of the KKC Hviezda.

We invite you to our special booth, which is not just for looking – but also for tasting and storytelling. You’ll find fragrant herbs, edible flowers, and fresh bread – come, sit down, and taste. And while you do, we’ll ask you: What does Trenčín taste like to you? Is it hops, sourdough bread, elderflower lemonade, Chocholná mineral water, or maybe your grandma’s cake? And then? You’ll find out what will happen with these flavors – and what we’re preparing as part of Trenčín 2026 – European Capital of Culture.
DJ-ing Workshops
What will DJ FOM teach you at his vinyl DJ-ing workshop?
The workshop will offer a fascinating insight into the history of vinyl and turntables – from the early days of DJ-ing to why vinyl remains iconic even in the digital era. Participants will learn what makes the sound of vinyl unique, the technical differences between turntables, and how mixing on records works. To wrap up, they’ll get the chance to try working with records and turntables live and experience the physical connection with music.
What will you learn at the DJ-ing workshop with Bali-G?
The joys and challenges on the path of a DJ. Bali will share his tips and tricks from behind the DJ booth, gathered over the past 10 years in clubs across Europe. A short story on how to get started with mixing nowadays, followed by a demonstration of basic techniques.
Plejs for Movement – Parkour Performance and Workshop
Plejs for Movement is a movement studio covering a variety of physical activities such as aerial acrobatics, parkour, flexi, handstand, and dance. We are the only studio in Trenčín with this focus.
Dance Group N-joy
A dance group that brings joy and energy through dance. They specialize in disco dance, street dance, and contemporary, combining technique, gymnastics, and artistic expression. The group brings together children aged 5 to 16 and also welcomes new dancers. Come and see what they have prepared for you at Garáž.

Win tickets to the Pohoda and Sharpe festivals, as well as to the Dušan Vlk & Fvck_Kvlt concert at KKC Hviezda! Simply fill out a short questionnaire with our volunteers at the event and you’ll be entered into the prize draw. Volunteers will be clearly marked and moving around the festival grounds. The goal of Garáž is to give bands the opportunity to showcase themselves. In the music industry, such an event is called a showcase festival – meaning that, in addition to inviting the general public, we also invite music industry professionals. They can listen to the bands live, invite them to play at their club or festival, or offer them a record deal.
In addition to their concert, the bands also get the opportunity to improve their skills through an educational block taking place later in September, with various music industry topics taught by music professionals.
