Palackého Live is a small urban festival that aims to show that even a place known primarily as a large car park can become a pleasant public space. For one summer evening, Palackého Street will transform into a safe and welcoming area full of life, greenery, inspiration and experiences.
The event includes the Music Picnic, while the Open-Air Cinema is part of the Inclusion Film Festival, a project that explores themes of inclusion and diversity through films and discussions.

Transport and Traffic Restrictions
During the event, Palackého Street will be closed to traffic from the parking garage (which will remain accessible) to the end of the car park in front of the Jozef Branecký Piarist Grammar School.
The cycle path along this section will be closed. Cyclists may pass through the event area only by walking their bicycles. Bicycle racks will be available at the festival.
Due to installation works on the car park in front of the Piarist Grammar School, part of the parking area will already be closed from Thursday, 27 August 2026, 12:00 AM. From 6:00 PM, the designated section of Palackého Street will also be closed until Saturday, 29 August 2026, 6:00 AM.
We recommend arriving on foot, by bicycle, or by public transport.
Accessibility
The event venue is not fully barrier-free, as there are curbs in several places. We therefore recommend that visitors with mobility impairments attend with a companion. If needed, you can approach our team or volunteers directly on site for assistance.
The Trenčín 2026 stand (Information Stand) will be located in the middle of Palackého Street, near Deloris. You can find its location HERE.
Accessible toilets are available at the public toilets near the Municipal Office on Sládkovičova Street and in the parking garage on Palackého Street. A limited number of parking spaces will also be available in the parking garage for visitors during the event.
A selected part of the programme – the Summer Cinema – is also accessible to people with hearing and visual impairments. More information is available here: Summer Cinema: Arco (2025).
