Yury Beryozkin (1991) is a Belarusian multidisciplinary artist and writer based in Prague. His practice moves between sculpture, ceramics, installation, drawing, writing, archival research, photography, video, performance and living processes like mycelium cultivation. He works through the relationships between memory, ecology, mythology, materiality and collective imagination, drawn especially to alternative forms of social organization and more-than-human perspectives. His current research connects the Tree of Life, sacred geometry, prehistoric imagery and the figure of the Great Goddess. Alongside his visual practice, he develops the Juicy Flower Oracle, an evolving symbolic system, and a speculative fiction novel he’s been writing since 2019. His work moves between visual and literary form as two ways of imagining possible worlds and futures.
