Europe for the City: A New Grant Program to Support Culture in Trenčín with €100,000

The Creative Institute Trenčín, n.o. has launched the Europe for the City grant program, which will support culture and creative industries in Trenčín with a total of €100,000. This program is part of the European Capital of Culture Trenčín 2026 initiative, aiming to strengthen the city’s cultural identity and its future development.

Funding for a Cultural Future

According to Ján Sudzina, director of the Creative Institute Trenčín, the title of European Capital of Culture is not just a prestigious award but a driving force for investment in culture and creativity.

“The Europe for the City program provides direct financial support to those shaping Trenčín’s cultural identity and future. We believe this call will inspire new inspiring projects and collaborations,” he stated.

Who Can Apply for the Grant?

The grant program is open to independent organizations in the field of culture and creative industries, that contribute to enriching cultural life in Trenčín. Projects may focus on:

  • Stabilizing cultural organizations
  • Supporting festivals and events
  • Developing cultural tourism
  • Connecting the cultural sector with other industries

All funded projects should align with the goals of the European Capital of Culture Trenčín 2026.
