What does a community space look like when it serves not only as a meeting place, but also as a space for local producers, growers, culture and shared activities?
As part of the Community Leaders programme, this time we will be heading outside Trenčín for an inspiring group trip to ŽiTo v SÝPKE in Moravské Lieskové, where we will take a closer look at how a community space works in practice.
After we arrive, we will have a guided tour of the garden and hear more about how ŽiTo v SÝPKE was created, how it operates, how it works with the community and what is involved in its day-to-day running. There will also be space for discussion and questions.
Our visit takes place on a day when the Sýpka is also hosting a food and craft market, giving you the opportunity to experience the venue during its regular community activities, meet local producers and growers and enjoy the accompanying programme at your own pace.
Light refreshments will also be provided.
The trip is intended primarily for people involved in the Community Leaders programme, as well as for those developing their own community, neighbourhood or civic initiatives who would like to gain inspiration from a working example.
