An unappealing ceiling turns into something alive. Could it become another sky? The underpass is being dressed in a new layer that breathes and responds. It transforms a passageway into a sensory experience perceived through movement, light, shadow, and acoustics. The translucent mesh filters sounds, lets light through, and creates a silence that contrasts with the noise of the street. Technical infrastructure becomes a new typology of an urban contemplative space.
