The Waiting Places project invites you to the next chapter of the artistic initiative by Slovak visual artist Lucia Tkáčová.
For her intervention, the artist has chosen a hospital—a public space that is an integral part of every city, yet often remains on the margins of our attention. For the Faculty Hospital in Trenčín, she is preparing a series of artworks, including custom-designed bed linens for one of the hospital departments.
Join us for a presentation and get a behind-the-scenes look at the process of this upcoming intervention, developed as part of the Waiting Places project.
On April 24, 2026, at 6:00 PM, at the Hviezda Cultural and Creative Centre in Trenčín, you will have the opportunity to learn more about the continuation of the project and gain deeper insight into the creation of the custom bed linens.
An important part of the discussion will also be the introduction of a strategic partnership with the Technical University of Liberec, which contributes methodological guidance in the field of textile research.
