November also brought the long-awaited launch of the Community Leaders project – symbolically titled (O)pening Communities.
At the Cultural and Creative Centre Hviezda, active people from Trenčín and the surrounding area gathered – people who connect their neighbourhoods and voluntarily build small and larger communities.
With the first meeting, we opened a series that will focus mainly on education and building connections. Unlike the Runway – Cultural Professionals programme, Community Leaders will focus on local communities and the practical questions they deal with every day.
The aim is to support the principle of mutual help and cooperation – to highlight that simple meetings with neighbours, friends or colleagues are more important today than ever before.
The Community Leaders project is intended not only for individuals but also for groups who want to share experiences, learn from each other and create new connections.
We believe these gatherings will spark community life, bring inspiration – and create connections that will last well beyond 2026.
