The Story of Trenčín 2026

Trenčín is a city known for its castle.
But bridges matter too.

Bridges?

Bridges between people.
Between the past and the future.
Between imagination and reality.

Not all bridges are made of stone and steel.
Some begin with a brave question.

With curiosity that dares to look where we don’t usually look.

Curiosity is a new perspective on familiar places –
when we slow down in a market alley we walk every day
and, for the first time, truly notice its charm.

Curiosity is the willingness to listen –
when, at a neighbourhood gathering, we discover
that our neighbour sees the city differently,
and something shared can grow from that.

Curiosity is trust in the power of culture –
that a concert beneath the castle or an exhibition in the square
can change the mood of the city and open new questions.

Bridges are built when we dare to take a step forward –
even when we can’t yet see what lies on the other side.
