This time, the Young Film Club is transforming into a special guest event.
Instead of the usual shared screening and discussion, we invite you to an exceptional lecture on the history of film, intended for everyone who loves cinema and wants to understand it better.
Our guest will be Peter Konečný – film critic, journalist, and long-time promoter of film culture. Since 2000, he has published in media outlets such as SME, .týždeň, and Blokbaster. He is the founder of the Kinema.sk portal and a graduate of film studies at the Academy of Performing Arts (VŠMU). Film is both his passion and his profession – something that is clearly felt in his engaging storytelling.
The lecture will include:
-
film excerpts,
-
interesting facts and broader context,
-
short stories from film history,
-
space for questions and open discussion.
Together, we will explore how film has evolved and how it continues to shape our perception of the world.
