Curators
Edit András and Ilona Németh
Edit András and Ilona Németh have been collaborating closely for more than a decade. They were both members of the Private Nationalism project, an international art and cultural programme initiated by the Approach Art Association under the direction of Rita Varga. Edit András curated the Budapest exhibition in 2015, while Ilona Németh co-curated the exhibitions in Košice in 2014 and Bratislava in 2015.
Building on this collaboration, they went on to co-curate the exhibition Universal Hospitality together with Birgit Lurz and Wolfgang Schlag. The exhibition was presented as part of Into the City, the cultural programme of Wiener Festwochen, in Vienna in 2016. It was subsequently shown in Prague, continuing and further developing the ideas explored in their previous collaborative projects.
