How loudly must a person speak for their voice to be heard?
We present the Theatre Nude production Voice, which explores the ways in which women use and shape their voice.
It is loosely inspired by the history of women’s suffrage in Slovakia, sociological research, the current social climate, and the personal experiences of the creative team.
Three actresses, two dancers, and one opera singer create a network of free associations as they attempt to speak freely and without restraint, taking full responsibility for the words they express.

What will we discuss?
Many election campaigns in Slovakia target women voters. Anywhere in public space, ideally every four years, every third woman is delighted to receive a carnation or a rose to “thank” their giver at the polls.
Are we even aware of the significance of women’s voting rights, which Slovak women obtained exceptionally already more than a century ago?
We will discuss what it means to use our female voice in today’s society, what it actually means to possess a “female voice,” and whether women are truly being heard — together with our guests.
