From 15 November, the exhibition From Fibre to Garment and Back will be open to the public at LUMó HUB, inviting visitors to explore the journey of textiles – from fibres and their processing, through the creation and use of garments, to their repair, reuse and transformation.
Through garments, material samples, design installations, audiovisual content and outcomes of LUMó activities, the exhibition will present the different stages of a garment’s life cycle. Visitors will be able to explore textile materials through touch, discover the principles of zero-waste pattern cutting and garment repair, and learn about other ways of working with textiles.
The exhibition will also tell the story of the LUMó programme and its activities in Trenčín between 2025 and 2026. It will build on the city’s textile heritage, the experiences of local participants, and collaborations with designers, seamstresses and communities that developed throughout the project.
