We invite you to the opening of one of the key exhibitions of the Trenčín 2026 European Capital of Culture programme, which will also mark the public opening of the renovated County House building.

The exhibition Glocal Equality and Hospitality (Invalid Ideas?), curated by Edit András and Ilona Németh, addresses some of the most pressing issues of our time — from growing social, economic and gender inequalities, through the climate crisis and geopolitical conflicts, to the impact of technology, social media and artificial intelligence on our lives.

The exhibited artworks by prominent international artists offer an opportunity to look beneath the surface of global issues from multiple perspectives. These perspectives help us better understand societal developments, foster solidarity, and explore ways of facing complex social and existential challenges.

Join us for the opening of this exceptional exhibition opening, which invites us to reflect on the future, society, solidarity, coexistence, and our ability to address today’s challenges.
