The sixth edition of our biggest event is here, bringing along exciting names and topics. On Friday, 29 May, we’ll gather in the library garden (in case of rain, directly in the library) to enjoy a literary and music programme and even create your own comic. Be sure to stop by—there’s something here for everyone. So, what can you look forward to?
About the Devil Kolofón (3:30 p.m.)
Theatre Morgonrock, led by writer and puppeteer Peter Gärtner, will present an adventurous marionette comedy for children, About the Devil Kolofón. Creative workshops will follow the performance.
Wherever You Go, Ask for Milk There (4:30 p.m.)
Ethnologist Júlia Marcinová will talk not only about her highly successful book, but also about the position of women in the past.
A Shrunken World (6:00 p.m.)
Journalist Veronika Cosculluela will share stories from life in our prisons, seen through the eyes of both inmates and guards. The nearby town of Ilava will not be left out.
Ján Púček – Through the Valley and to the Glassworks (7:00 p.m.)
Living in Nová Dubnica, he writes poetry and prose, books for children, and also translates. His recent poetry collection includes a cycle about the Dubnica valley, which will be presented live by the author at the festival.
Lucia Piussi (8:00 p.m.)
Known as the singer of the legendary band Živé kvety, she later founded Terrible 2S. In the library garden, you can enjoy her solo concert full of familiar and powerful songs.

Put together your own comic and take home an original souvenir from the festival.
