You are invited to a guided tour with courator Lýdia Pribišová of the exhibition Variazione op. K10°_n by Italian artist Lucia Romualdi, a leading figure of the Astrazione Povera movement. The curator will present her unique artistic program. You will learn more about Romualdi’s life spent between Rome and the Etruscan coast, as well as the various exhibitions and projects she realized since the late 1970s. Lucia Romualdi was a mysterious, enigmatic figure of the Italian art scene, and there are few opportunities to learn more about her work. In her multimedia installations, she explored the rhythms of the tides, the depths of the sea, and their connections to visual and sound patterns. She created diagrams – scores composed of numerical flows and geometric shapes – with experimental music, composed by leading Italian composers, playing a significant role in her work.
The exhibition of Lucia Romualdi launches the curatorial program Aqua Vitae by Lýdia Pribišová, which opens a dialogue about water and the Váh River through interdisciplinary site-specific, participatory, and discursive art projects. It connects art with nature and initiates discussions about the importance of water protection and the future of aquatic ecosystems in the region. During the guided tour, the curator will also present other projects that are part of the Aqua Vitae program.
Duration of the exhibition: until June 30
