Modern humanity has always sought to gain and maintain a high degree of control over the natural world. Through spatial installations, the joint exhibition by artists Juraj Rattaj (SK) and Martin Chramosta (CH/CZ/AT) explores the human desire to appropriate nature. Foam in the Cage is both a literal description and a blurred metaphor, suggesting the futility of trying to capture something that is inherently intangible. The work combines a love of freedom with a gloomy premonition, balancing between a dystopian feeling and the relief of escape.
