Gympelrock – Trenčín’s student-driven festival – is back this year, bigger, louder, and more unforgettable than ever before. Get ready for an explosion of local bands, young talents, and plenty of surprises.
On September 26, 2025, KKC Hviezda will come alive with the much-loved student festival that has been part of Trenčín’s cultural life for decades.
Expect two stages with performances by artists and bands such as FVLCRVM, Marhule, Blanch, and Vojtík. In between concerts, you can enjoy engaging side activities to fill the time while waiting for the next show.
Gympelrock has a tradition of more than 30 years in Trenčín, though the pandemic forced it to take a break for several seasons. Still, a group of ambitious students from Ľudovít Štúr Grammar School in Trenčín, together with former organizers, joined forces to bring the festival back to its rightful place under the castle – and they’re succeeding!
“The main idea is to give a chance and space to up-and-coming or lesser-known bands and musicians. The goal is to connect music, art, and people who love it,” says one of the organizers. This year’s lineup was designed to combine some of the most prominent names of the Slovak scene with rising talents.
Gympelrock is your chance to experience an evening full of quality music, inspiring conversations, fun activities, and, most importantly, new memories. Whether you want to see your favorite artist live, add new records to your collection, join an interesting discussion, or simply spend a vibrant Friday evening, this festival is for you. Everyone is welcome – regardless of age, gender, or style. Gympelrock truly is for everyone!
