As part of the project Brutalism with Sensitivity, created in cooperation with Hlava 5 and Trenčín 2026, a participatory workshop will take place in the KKC Hviezda complex. The workshop will involve the creation of a public space artwork made from clay, led by the platform kolemhlíny.
Since the workshop capacity has already been filled, we invite the wider public to a lecture held directly at the site of the installation – in the courtyard of the cultural center.
The presentation will focus on the role of clay in contemporary architecture – why it is perceived as a sustainable material, what makes it attractive, what obstacles prevent its wider use, and how it differs from concrete, which shaped brutalism.
Architect Sveta Devyatkina and civil engineer Lukáš Bejček from the platform kolemhlíny will share their insights.
