Passing On What We Received – An Intergenerational Folklore Gathering in Zlatovce
Come and spend an afternoon with us where traditions will not simply be presented, but above all shared, experienced, and passed on. The INOVEC Folk Music Ensemble invites children, young people, parents, and seniors to an intergenerational folklore gathering filled with music, dance, stories, and memories.
You can look forward to live folk music, stories about traditional clothing, a dance workshop, a creative workshop for children, and a Table of Memories, which we will create together with you. Do you have old photographs from Zlatovce and the surrounding area, photos of people in traditional costumes, weddings, village festivals, or other events? Or perhaps a piece of traditional clothing or an object connected to a family story? Bring it with you and add it to our Table of Memories. Together, for one afternoon, we will create a small living collection of memories and stories from local people.
You will not just be spectators – you can dance, sing, create, reminisce, and share a piece of your own family story. Come and join us in passing on what we ourselves received from the generations before us.
