The Municipality of Beluša and the Beluša Municipal Library, in cooperation with Trenčín 2026 – European Capital of Culture and the Trenčín Self-Governing Region, invite you to the first Reading Festival, taking place from 2:00 PM on 28 August 2026 at the Beluša Municipal Library and in the surrounding area.
Over the course of two days, you can take part in creative workshops and activities focused on reading. Friday’s programme will kick off with Soňa Balážová, a writer from Slniečko magazine. You can also look forward to meeting Zuzana Kubašáková, author of Škriatok v pyžamku and a librarian, who will share several magical stories with children.
Anyone curious about how hedgehog therapy works will have the opportunity to experience it with professionals from IPčko. Patrícia Pivolusková from the civic association Celé Slovensko číta deťom will talk about why reading matters for children and how we can help them find their way to books. The evening will conclude with the theatre performance Babička by the Houže ensemble and a screening of Tales from the Magic Garden.
On Thursday at 6:00 PM, we look forward to welcoming you to creative workshops, a reading session, and a screening of the animated film Hola Frida!.
