Working with narrative in digital art. In his talk, Boris Vitázek will guide you through his portfolio and his approach to incorporating stories and narrative into digital art.
Boris Vitázek (1989) is a Slovak intermedia artist whose work spans live performance, site-specific audiovisual installations, electronic sound design, and community organising. He is a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava. His work explores the boundaries between organic systems and synthetic environments, as well as local social issues. He also uses creative coding in his work with space and data.
His portfolio includes large-scale projection mapping, interactive game art, and experimental theatre scenography. His projects include Tool Hierarchy (2022), Infinite Countdown (2025), Ecolalia, presented at the Ars Electronica festival (2022), the experimental LP Amalgam (2023), and the live audiovisual performance Narrative Absence, which premiered at the Lunchmeat Festival (2024).
He has also created live visuals for artists such as Actress, Sote, and Andy Stott, and his work has been presented at platforms and festivals including Signal Festival, Nuit Blanche, Pohoda, Lunchmeat, and Next Festival.

The workshop is not only about creativity and ecology. ODPADNESH combines upcycling with supporting people facing difficult circumstances.
The product templates are developed in collaboration with disadvantaged women, mothers, and people at risk of poverty. This work helps them earn an income, develop work habits, and participate in the labour market.
