Melancholy wrapped in hyperpop. Or the other way around.
Vojtík is a young Slovak artist whose musical journey has taken him from the viral single Detviansky sen and the award-winning debut Kvety z Podpoľania – winner of the Radio Head Awards for Debut of the Year – to his latest hyperpop and experimental projects. Each stage of his work is different, yet always carries the same signature: a strong visual narrative, great musicality, and the courage to go beyond genre boundaries.
In projects such as Marks of Dantalion, he deals openly and without filters with processing his own trauma. His latest chapter under the Slnko Records label, inspired by the energy of Japanese and Korean hyperpop, pushes Slovak production closer to a global sound. On stage, Vojtík can be just as compelling in fragile melancholy as in aggressive euphoria – and that is exactly where his strength lies.
