The European Capital of Culture year culminates in one big celebration for everyone.
Join us on 27–29 November to celebrate culture, the city, and everything we have experienced together.
The title of European Capital of Culture was awarded to a city, but it was brought to life by people. All year long, culture lived where we live: in the streets, on the squares, in venues and underpasses. So on the last weekend of November, we will come together one more time to celebrate a year that belongs to all of us.
From Friday to Sunday, the Celebration of Culture will bring a rich programme to venues all across Trenčín. The highlight comes on Saturday, when the city once again becomes one big stage – with people playing the leading role. The weekend will also feature the ceremonial handover of the title to the cities that will carry it in 2027: Évora in Portugal and Liepāja in Latvia.
