Getting to Know Materials
Can you tell different types of textile fibres apart? Through touch and observation, you will explore a variety of materials, their origins, properties and differences. You will also learn how the choice of material affects the quality, use and care of clothing.
Crocheting Fashion Accessories
Try working with yarn and create your own fashion accessory! This open workshop will offer an opportunity to learn basic crochet techniques, exchange experience and enjoy the pleasure of creating together. You can join in at any time throughout the day, and complete beginners are welcome.
SWAP | Knitwear and Yarn
Give your knitted pieces a second chance! Bring sweaters, cardigans, scarves, hats or unused yarn and exchange them for something that will bring you joy. This special edition of the LUMó SWAP will be dedicated to knitwear and its further use. You can also discover simple repair and alteration techniques, such as mending holes, embroidery, beading or felting.
Throughout the day, from 11:00 to 19:00, the LUMó HUB will be an open space for making, meeting and sharing skills. Come and discover just how many possibilities can be found in an ordinary piece of fabric or a ball of yarn!
